Description

Out of the many growing regions In Guatemala, Antiguan coffee comes from a valley surrounded by three volcanoes. As it’s a valley, weather is constant and favourable for coffee growing. These advantageous weather conditions and the high altitude (above 1800 meters) provide the perfect humidity levels to grow the finest quality coffee in South America and indeed the world. Certified as Strictly Hard Beans (SHB), Farmers take extra care of their plants to ensure the finest quality harvest at the season’s end.
Coffee beans from the Antigua Valley are generally Arabica, most of which are of the Bourbon and Caturra varieties. Coffee beans from the valley have a unique taste, but Each type of plantation has its distinct flavour profile. In general, Antiguan coffee is smooth, rich, and has a bright, fruity characteristic. The coffee is medium-bodied with sweet, honey, and maple undertones.
When it comes to roasting, the wise people at theWISEbrew are particularly careful to bring out the best possible flavours. Medium roast is the usually accepted roast for Antiguan coffee. We make sure that our roast and development are geared towards bringing out the best flavours and enhancing the origin characteristics.
