The inspiring women of Coffee Wagera

On this Women’s Day, we pay tribute to the inspiring women at Coffee Wagera…

Sonya Khushi and Vijanti Perwani of Khushi In A Box:
The women behind our top-selling brownies, and the only supplier who has been with us from day one.
Raise your head high and strive to be yourself, unapologetically. Be Bold, be loud, be ambitious, be relentless, but also be empathetic, kind and respectful to others and yourself. Face the world like a warrior, there is nothing stronger and fiercer than being a woman.

Zahra Bandukwala of Boulanger:
The lady behind the popular ‘Bohra Auser’, and a long-term supplier. We are happy that she continued working after marriage.
A woman is one of the most beautiful phenomena in the world. Not to be compared with anything else. A woman is the masterpiece of God.”

Another long-term supplier whose name and photo cannot be published due to ‘personal and family reasons.’ A widow who struggles to be independent and strives for her children’s future, without much support from the family.
Women should be appreciated every day for handling multiple responsibilities as daughters, wives, mothers, workers… and for being a role model for the family and society.”

Mehwish Asad Bari of Coffee Wagera Maskan:
A housewife, an entrepreneur, a certified Barista, co-owner of CW-Maskan, together with her husband, Asad Bari. Mehwish and Asad were the first franchisee of CW, and the inspiration for many others.
If we want to achieve something and prove our strength, uniqueness and amazing abilities, let’s first stand united; let us ditch that misogyny from amongst us; let us not pull each other down. Let us be pillars of strength for our sisters, daughters, friends and colleagues. Let’s change this together!

Sarah Amin of Coffee Wagera Bahadurabad:
An entrepreneur running multiple businesses successfully, co-owner of CW-Bahadurabad, together with her business partner, Saad. Also the first franchisee for Coffee Wagera on Wheels (IIC), and a dedicated daughter too.
Sara is defined by her strong values, her ability to inspire others, seeing the big picture and always putting things in perspective!

Zartashia Hashmi of Coffee Wagera Clifton:
An entrepreneur, an excellent chef and the co-owner of CW-Clifton, together with her brother Zohaib Shah. It was their sheer persistence and perseverance, and the special support from their mom, that made it possible for them to survive the difficult time that hit them right after launch!
If the most unique ideas were obvious to everyone, there wouldn’t be any entrepreneurs.

Ronica Nazir of Coffee Wagera Badar:
Someone who had to be on her own at an early age and survive without any support from anyone! Luckily, she found CW where she found an opportunity to learn and grow, to be respected and supported.
One of the toughest things in our country is being a woman. My biggest dream is to have my own place to live, and I have faith!

Bushra Hashim, Design Intern at Coffee Wagera:
A final year student at IVS, recently got married, recently started as a design intern at CW, and doing a great job of balancing all the roles!
My work gives me confidence to move ahead, and feel positive through every situation.

We are so proud to attract such talented women at Coffee Wagera, and are doing our best to appreciate what they do, and to support them towards their ambitions.

Happy Women’s Day!
